FAQ
What about hair and make-up?
You can arrive with your hair and make-up exactly as you like it, or you can make it part of your Reconnect & Empower experience.
If you'd prefer to be professionally styled, simply arrive an hour earlier and our hair and make-up stylist will spend that time with you, getting you ready for your portrait session. The additional cost is £200, payable directly to your stylist on the day.
It isn't about making you look like somebody else. It's about giving you time to settle in, feel looked after and begin the experience feeling ready to enjoy what's ahead.
For many women, that hour becomes a lovely part of the day itself — a chance to stop, be taken care of for a change, and enjoy the transformation before stepping in front of the camera.
It's entirely your choice. Whichever you choose, we want you to arrive in front of the camera feeling like yourself — just beautifully prepared.
I’ve never done anything like this before. What should I expect?
Most of the women who come to us haven’t either — and you don’t need to know how to pose or what to do in front of the camera.
We’ll guide you throughout the experience, from preparing beforehand to the photography itself. You won't be left wondering where to stand, what to do with your hands or whether you're “doing it right”.
This isn’t about knowing how to be photographed. That’s our job. Your job is simply to be you.
What should I wear?
Whatever makes you feel most like the version of yourself you'd like to celebrate.
Before your experience, we'll talk through clothing with you and help you decide what to bring. That might mean something beautifully simple, something glamorous, a favourite outfit you already love wearing — or several different looks.
You don't need to go out and reinvent your wardrobe. We'll help you choose what feels right for you.
What if I don't like having my photograph taken?
Then you're in very good company. You don't need to arrive feeling confident in front of a camera.
In fact, part of the reason we created Reconnect & Empower is because so many women have spent years avoiding photographs of themselves or feeling uncomfortable when a camera appears.
We'll take our time, guide you throughout and let the experience unfold naturally.
You don't need to feel confident before you come. That's not the starting requirement.
How many portraits will I receive?
There isn’t a set number because everyone wants something different.
Later that same day, you’ll see your portraits for the first time and choose the ones that mean something to you. Some women fall in love with one particular portrait; others choose a collection that tells more of their story.
There’s no expectation to choose a certain number. We’ll simply help you create a Portrait Collection that feels right for you and your home.
Perhaps this is your time.
You don't need to know exactly what you want from the experience yet.
