Perhaps this story feels familiar

“I know who I am to everyone else…

But I want to feel sure of who I’m becoming."

A portrait experience for women whose lives are changing quickly — becoming a mum, building a career, creating a family — and who want to make sure they don’t lose sight of themselves along the way.

So much of your life is now shaped by

what you mean to other people.

A mum. A partner. A professional. The person people depend on.

And they’re all parts of a life you wanted.

But somewhere amongst the feeding, working, planning, loving, organising and trying to do everything well, perhaps you’ve started to wonder where you fit into it all.

Not because you want your old life back.

And not because you love this one any less.

You’re changing too.

The woman you were before motherhood hasn’t disappeared — but neither are you quite the same woman anymore.

Perhaps what you’re looking for isn’t a way back at all.

Perhaps it’s an opportunity to recognise the woman you’re becoming.

You don’t have to choose

between who you were and

who you’re becoming.

Motherhood changes things.

Your time. Your priorities. Your body. Your relationships. Even the way you think about yourself.

And at the same time, your career still matters. Your relationship matters. Your ambitions matter. You matter.

Sometimes it can feel as though all these different versions of you are competing for attention — the mum, the partner, the professional, and the woman underneath all of those labels.

But perhaps they don't have to compete.

Recognition isn't about trying to become the woman you were before motherhood.

Nor is it about creating some perfect new version of yourself.

It's about recognising that everything you're becoming can belong together — and allowing yourself to feel confident in the woman who's emerging.

You haven't lost yourself. You're still becoming yourself.

This isn't really about having your photograph taken.

Of course, we'll create beautiful portraits of you.

But that's not where Recognition begins.

It begins with giving yourself, for a little while, permission to think about you.

Not you as a mum.

Not you as a partner. Not you at work.

Just you. To step away from everything that needs doing.

To let somebody else take care of the details.

To laugh, talk, relax — and enjoy being the centre of your own

attention for a change.

You don't need to arrive feeling confident. You don't need to know how to pose.

And you certainly don't need to have worked out exactly who you're becoming.

You just need to come as you are.

We'll take care of everything else. Because the photographs aren't really the starting point of Recognition.

They're what remains afterwards — a reminder of the woman who exists

alongside all those other parts of your life.

Not who you used to be. Not who you think you should be. Who you are becoming.

What does Recognition actually feel like?

Probably much more relaxed than you're imagining.

When you arrive at Cherish, the kettle will be on. You'll meet Louise & Paul, settle in with a cup of tea or coffee and simply have a chat.

There's no rush to get in front of a camera.

No expectation that you'll know what to do.

And absolutely no test of whether you're "photogenic".

We'll already have spent time getting to know you before your experience, so this isn't a room full of strangers trying to make you smile.

It's your day.

There'll be conversation. Music. Laughter. Probably more tea.

And for a little while, something that's become quite rare:

nobody needs anything from you.

You don't have to be Mum.

You don't have to think about work.

You don't have to be anyone's partner.

Louise & Paul will gently guide you throughout. We'll show you where to stand, help you with what to do and take care of the details.

All you need to do is allow yourself to enjoy it.

And somewhere amongst the talking, laughing and photographs, something rather lovely can happen.

You stop thinking about all the things you have to be.

And simply enjoy being you.

But don't just take our word for it.

Every woman who walks through our door brings her own story with her.

Different lives. Different reasons. Different nerves.

But many arrive wondering what it will actually feel like to step out of everyday life and put themselves in someone else's hands for a while.

So rather than us telling you what Renewal can feel like, we'd rather let one of the women who's experienced it tell you herself.

Your Recognition will be yours.

And that's exactly how it should be.

Recognition isn't about recreating somebody else's experience.

It's about giving you the opportunity to step away from all the different parts you play in everyday life and see what emerges when, for a little while, you don't have to be anything to anybody else.

Perhaps that's confidence.

Perhaps it's playfulness.

Perhaps it's a side of you that hasn't had much attention lately.

Perhaps it's something about yourself you're only just beginning to discover.

There's no version of you that we're trying to create.

We're simply giving you the opportunity to see yourself without all the labels for a while.

And when you do, perhaps you'll recognise that everything you're becoming was already beginning to belong together.

And then you get to recognise yourself differently.

Later that same day, we'll sit down together and see your portraits for the first time. There's no expectation that you'll love every photograph.

You don't need to.

We're simply looking for the ones that make you stop.

The ones that feel like you.

Perhaps you'll see the woman you recognise immediately.

But perhaps you'll notice something else too.

The confidence you've built. The softness that's still there. The playfulness that gets lost amongst everything that needs doing.

Or perhaps one portrait will simply make you smile because, for once, you're looking at yourself without thinking about whether you look like a mum, a professional, a partner — or anything else.

“That's me.”

Once we've found your favourites, we'll help you decide how you'd like to enjoy and live with them in your home.

That might be one beautiful portrait you see every morning. A collection displayed together. Or a Treasure Box of favourite photographs you can return to whenever you choose.

Together, we'll build a Portrait Collection that's right for you and your home.

Because the experience may last a day.

But recognising the woman you're becoming shouldn't have to.

FAQ

What if I don't feel confident enough to do this?

You don't need to.

Recognition isn't something you have to arrive ready for. You don't need to feel completely comfortable with yourself, know exactly who you are at this point in your life, or have worked out how all the different parts of you fit together.

In fact, that uncertainty may be part of the reason you're here.

We'll take our time, guide you throughout and make sure you never feel as though you're expected to perform for the camera.

Confidence isn't something you need to bring with you.

Perhaps it's something you'll begin to see differently before you leave.

What if I hate having my photograph taken?

Then you're certainly not alone.

You don't need to arrive loving the camera — or even feeling particularly comfortable in front of one.

For many women, photographs have become something they instinctively avoid. Perhaps you're usually the one taking them. Perhaps you look at photographs of yourself and immediately notice everything you'd like to change.

We won't ask you to suddenly stop feeling that way.

We'll take our time, guide you throughout and allow you to settle into the experience naturally.

You don't have to learn to love having your photograph taken.

We'd simply like to give you the opportunity to see yourself a little differently.

But I have absolutely no idea how to pose.

Good. You don’t need to.

Knowing how to stand, where to look or what to do with your hands is our job, not yours.

We'll guide you throughout — gently adjusting the little things when we need to, while giving you enough freedom to move, laugh and simply be yourself.

This isn't about learning a collection of poses or trying to look like somebody you saw on Instagram.

We're not trying to photograph a version of you that you've learned how to perform.

We're looking for the moments that feel unmistakably like you.

WHAT IF I DON’T REALLY KNOW WHO I AM AT THE MOMENT?

Then perhaps you don’t need to have the answer yet.

Your life is changing. You’re a mum, a partner, a professional — and you’re still working out how all those parts of you belong together.

Recognition isn’t about asking you to define yourself or decide who you’re supposed to become.

It’s an opportunity to stop for a moment and pay attention to the woman who’s already emerging amongst all that change.

You don’t need to have yourself figured out.

You’re allowed to still be becoming.

What if doing something entirely for myself feels a little self-indulgent?

Then perhaps that feeling tells you something.

When so much of your time is shared between your child, your relationship, your career and everything else that needs your attention, choosing something simply because you want it can feel surprisingly difficult.

But making room for yourself doesn't mean taking anything away from the people you love.

You're still a mum. Still a partner. Still everything you need and want to be.

You're simply remembering that you belong in your own life too.

And perhaps that's something worth showing your child as they grow up.

What if I don't like the portraits?

Then you don’t choose them.

Later that same day, we’ll sit down together and look through your portraits for the first time.

There’s no expectation that you’ll love every photograph — and no pressure to choose anything simply because we’ve created it.

We’re looking for the ones that make you stop. The ones where you recognise something that feels genuinely like you.

Perhaps it’s confidence. Perhaps softness, playfulness or a sense of yourself you haven’t noticed for a while.

Perhaps it’s simply a portrait that makes you think:

“Yes. That’s me.”

You only choose the portraits that mean something to you.

Because Recognition isn’t about showing you who you should be. It’s about recognising who you’re becoming.

Perhaps this is your time to recognise you.

Your life is changing. And so are you.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you take a moment to acknowledge the woman you’re becoming.

You don’t need to know exactly what you want from the experience either.

That’s what the Welcome Conversation is for.

Louise will take the time to hear a little about you, what has brought you here and what you’d like this experience to mean for you.

Because amongst everything you are becoming to everyone else, there should always be room to recognise you.
